Gold Standard Menu
We aim to provide wholesome cooking, all meals have menu choices and we use fresh meat and seasonal vegetables whenever possible. Personal preferences and special dietary requirements are catered for. Preview a sample menu here.
Most residents choose to take meals in one of our two dining rooms but are free to take them in their own room if preferred. A choice of hot or cold drinks is served mid-morning, mid-afternoon (with homemade cakes) and before bed.
Alcoholic drinks are also provided along with a snack menu that can be ordered between meals.
A trolley full of treats is also in operation within the home for those naughtier indulgences.
Nutritional and Varied Options
The Priory has a seasonal menu which will change every four months to ensure a varied selection of dishes.
Our menus are nutritional and varied, developed in conjunction with the Local Health Board, the All Wales Nutritional Standard. The meals are delivered by a team of qualified Chef’s. This ensures that each dish chosen will meet the All Wales Nutritional Standard for food. We use local fresh meat and seasonal vegetables whenever possible and provide nutritional snacks on request.
The emphasis is on personal preference and choice. We try to offer patients a tasty meal made from good quality seasonal ingredients which where possible are locally sourced. All recipes on the menu are taken from the ‘All Wales Menu Matrix’ ensuring compliance to the nutritional standard. Special dietary requirements are also catered for at The Priory.
