Just a note to say thank you for the wonderful care you gave to (T) whilst he was living at The Priory. Your kindness to him and also to me and the rest of the family was outstanding. We are all very grateful for the exemplary care you gave to him at a difficult period of his life.

On a personal note, I was very thankful for the support given to me by the night staff on the day he died and also to Marlene & Charlotte in the days following his death.

Following (I’s) funeral Mxxxxx and I, together with members of the family, went away for a few days. We are now back at xxxxxxx, the American family have returned to the US and life is returning to normal.

During the 2 years that my mum was with you, she often said how lucky she was to be at The Priory. There were also occasions of course when frustrated at her loss of independence through increasing disability, she became somewhat fractious and difficult, but generally, her good humour shone through.

I have come to know many of you at The Priory during the time my mum was there and have always been deeply impressed at the kindness, respect and care shown by all staff to all your guests. I would like you to know how grateful I am to you all for looking after my mum so well. I too consider that she was fortunate to be in your care. My heartfelt thanks to you all.

I shall miss my frequent visits to Llandogo.

To all the wonderful staff that cared for LC during his short stay with you at The Priory. LC’s only request for a Nursing home was “nice staff” and you supplied that in abundance and nothing was too much trouble.

A special enormous thank you xxxxxxxxx who were with LC on the morning he was taken very unwell to Neville Hall. You were fantastic and so caring. We are so relieved he was looked after so, so well. You were especially kind to us afterwards when we called back Sunday afternoon to collect his possessions.

You are all such special caring people.

I would like to take this opportunity to thank the Management and Staff of the Priory for caring for my mother this last eighteen months. It was a difficult decision for me to place Mum into residential care. I vividly remember that Saturday morning in September when I visited three care homes, the Priory being one. My first impressions of the Priory were very good compared to the other two. It is fair to say that I have never had recourse to question that impression.

The Priory did more with resolving my mother’s health issues in the first month of her stay than Chepstow hospital could in five months, for which we were grateful. Though my mother was never really settled, the staff comforted and supported her when she was upset and on good days they would all have a laugh and smile together.
